FAQs
No. Most Public Utilities Commissions have only allowed investor-owned utilities
to participate in electric choice. Municipal electric cooperatives do not
participate in electric choice.
If you regularly pay your invoice on time and have an outstanding balance only
occasionally, you can enroll in Aggregate.EnergyTX. If you consistently have an
outstanding balance, many REPs will reject such an enrollment.
No. After you choose to sign up, Aggregate.Energy representatives will complete
a set of checklists, including making sure your new enrollment has been
officially approved and accepted by the new supplier.
The service will begin on the start date listed on the enrollment form.
No. We work very closely with suppliers, and our suppliers rarely charge our
customers these types of fees.
Yes. If you choose to switch away from your supplier, there may be an early
termination fee assessed on your last bill. However, our goal is to “run as
one”; you won't have much reason to switch anyway.
Yes. Everyone who has electricity has a contract, either short-term, such as 3
months, or long-term, like 36 months (3 years), but a contract needs to be in
place. If a contract is not in place, customers are usually charged on a
monthly-variable basis, which is very costly to consumers.
We secure fixed-rate electricity plans for residential and small commercial
customers in deregulated territories.
Our enrollment form includes all standard necessary information to register as a
client, such as name, service address, billing address, contract information,
and some form of ID to validate the enrollment.
To subscribe to weekly pricing reminders, just subscribe to our mailer. If you
want to Join immediately, please visit www.aggregate.energy and fill out the
enrollment with your start date. Aggregate.Energy will contact you promptly with
your current pool prices.
Aggregate.EnergyTX will ensure enrollment, set up the "MY ACCOUNTS" page, and
set up AutoPay and send all the credentials to the customers. Participants will
have direct access to their personal "My Accounts" page.
Your energy usage is available on each month’s invoice. You can also request a
copy of your usage for the last 24 months by emailing:
save@aggregateenergytx.com.
Customers will be able to change the email address on the portal provided or
directly contact Aggregate.EnergyTX to have it updated.
On the enrollment form, you can specify email delivery or postal service (or
both) to ensure you receive the bill.
Suppliers give the best rates to clients who opt for AutoPay. That is why
Aggregate.Energy will help you autopay your accounts upon enrollment.
If you decide to join our pool, you will be charged $5 per month for the
membership fee. We charge that in annual amounts of $50, roughly another 15%
savings. A receipt is provided.
You will never receive a bill from Aggregate.EnergyTX. You will simply receive
the monthly invoice from the supplier we chose to enroll with. As we help you
set up your account, your bills come in the regular mail or email.
Aside from contract price management, Aggregate.EnergyTX aims to educate the
public by communicating regularly on matters related to residential energy
conservation, solar energy options, local weather, and other viable information
to keep you informed.
At this time, Aggregate.EnergyTX is for private groups of people who sign up as
individuals to a voluntary pool. We do not have a government aggregation
missions objective at this time.
Aggregation is when a community joins together to act as a single, larger
customer that buys energy for its members. A large buying group may be able to
gain buying power to get the best value for the group’s energy needs.
Yes. Many of our members require energy plans that are only sourced from green
initiatives. Any customer can request a 100% renewable energy plan.
Email or call us, and we will send a TRANSFER OF SERVICE Letter and complete the
transfer on your behalf.
Most customers transfer the service to the new location. In the event you would
have to move, Aggregate.EnergyTX will make a case for your early termination to
be waived, but that is not guaranteed.
We all have the power to choose an electricity and natural gas supplier. If you
are located in a deregulated state, you can choose who supplies your generation
and transmission services and what price you pay for it. This allows
Aggregate.EnergyTX to choose the supply plan and contract length that works for
you. To learn more about how energy choice works and its benefits, click here.
As an Aggregate.EnergyTX member, the renewal time is the most important time.
The idea is that your account will end with many more participants keeping our
buying power growing at each renewal period. Aggregate.EnergyTX experts are
always creating a hypercompetitive environment between the suppliers. Many
times, we secure the renewal many months in advance of the current contract
ending. This forward-looking strategy helps us get some favorable rates from the
suppliers.
